International trade in goods and services in Cyprus

Antoniou McCollum & Co. has contributed two Q&A guides on Cyprus for the International Trade and Commercial Transactions Global Guide, published by Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law:

The international trade in goods and services Q&A covers key matters relating to the regulation of international trade in Cyprus, including the framework for the sale of goods, the provision of services (including financial services),  imports and exports requirements, customs and excise, trade remedies and international restrictions.

The sale and storage of goods Q&A covers key matters relating to sale of goods contracts, including the legislative framework, rules on formation, price and payment, delivery, passing of title and risk, enforcement and remedies, exclusion of liability, choice of law and jurisdiction, and arbitration. It also provides an overview of the rules governing storage of goods.

In relation to the sale of goods in Cyprus, Antoniou McCollum & Co. advises and supports clients in a plethora of industries.  Highlights of our recent work include advising the largest fashion retailer globally on franchise and corporate law issues and one of the largest electronic appliances manufacturers globally on distribution and competition law issues.

In relation to the provision of services out of and into services, we offer hands-on expertise in regulated industries, such as financial services, banking and insurance, while we regularly advise on the cross-border provision of services from an EU law perspective.
